Do you dread the pre-menstrual phase of your cycle?

Our society has one story about the pre-menstruum: that it turns us into hysterical, irrational sad sacks.

Again and again I hear from parents who find their PMS the most difficult part of the month to navigate.

And it’s no wonder: our resources are low, our patience is thin, and the demands of modern life don’t let up. We can end up feeling terribly guilty if we end up shouting at our kids or picking a fight with our partners and our menstrual cycle can ultimately feel like a burden.

But what if I were to tell you that there’s a deep wisdom hidden within everything you’re feeling when you’re premenstrual?

Through my practice of menstrual cycle awareness, I’ve gotten to know a very different side of this phase than we’re taught to expect. One where I’m filled with bliss and gratitude, where I feel deeply creative and productive, where I meet the most wild, magical parts of myself. It certainly still holds its challenges but the inner autumn is now firmly one of my favourite points in my cycle.

That’s what I’m inviting you to in this workshop.

The truth is, the irritation and complete intolerance for BS that we can experience at this phase in our cycle isn’t “just hormones.” When the ability to grin and bear it is stripped away, we’re forced to look at what’s not working in our lives and where we’ve been tolerating things we’re really not happy with. And that’s not easy!

But I promise that there’s another way.

The pre-menstruum, or inner autumn, is a time of fierce discernment. Of cutting through the BS. Of seeing with intense clarity what is and isn't working. During this phase we're gifted a powerful ability to edit our lives.

It's a time of deep contrast: our inner reserves start to dwindle as we prepare to bleed but our lives continue to demand so much of us. It’s difficult to hold this tension, which is one reason PMS symptoms occur. The more we can create space and slowness in this phase (no easy task, I realize), the more we are able to hold all of what it asks of us.

In this two-hour workshop I’ll share the powerful practices and mindset shifts I’ve used to tap into the beauty, power, and bliss of the premenstrual phase of my cycle (and yes, I’ve managed to do this while parenting a young child, running two businesses, home educating my son, and living in the modern world).

This workshop is for you if:

🥀 Your premenstruum is something you dread; it feels like something you just have to grit your teeth and get through.

🥀 You feel guilty about the way you parent during your inner autumn because it often leads to you being frazzled, impatient, grumpy, and shouty.

🥀 You’re open to seeing your premenstruum in new ways and creating a deeper relationship with yourself so that you can stop shouting and parent in a way that feels totally right for you.

🥀 You’d like to feel more self-connected, self-compassionate, intuitive, creative, and whole so that you can stop feeling guilty and find a deep sense of purpose and fulfilment in your life.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

🌹 Understanding how your premenstrual phase is calling you to problem solving, connection, and rest, and how you can begin answering that call even within your very full life.

🌹 A powerful visualization for connecting with the wild parts of you that have perhaps been repressed and understanding how they want to be expressed so that you can experience greater wholeness and alignment.

🌹 A process for using the frustrations that show up in your premenstruum to work through limiting beliefs and old patterns so that they stop running the show.

🌹 Working with your inner critic to create positive changes in your life, rather than it leaving you feeling bullied and belittled so that you can finally feel good about who you are, how you parent, and the life you’re creating with your family.

🌹 Understanding the inner autumn’s desire to harvest, the grief that surfaces when that doesn’t occur, and how to work with the flow of your cycle a deeper sense of creativity and fulfillment.

🌹 Simple lifestyle changes and practices that will help to re-balance any imbalances that are showing up during this phase of your cycle.

“I found the session held beautifully by Sarah, very helpful as a way to reset my system in a sense, to connect with my inner core and to feel more centred. I remembered more about what matters day to day as a mother as an alternative to getting lost in the overwhelm at times. Having the time out for the session away from my daughter with other mothers especially during lockdown, really helped me to focus on what I really needed.” — TANIA DAVIES

“The workshop was fantastic, I’ve got so many pointers from it. Now I just need to put them into practice. I really got a lot from it and I’d definitely do another of your workshops! And recommend to friends also.” — NGOZI ATULOMAH

“Sarah is wise, supportive and the real deal. As a mumma who truly lives what she teaches, she's doing that very rare but much-needed and really necessary thing of making cycle awareness accessible, available and most importantly, really bloody relevant for parents.” — LISA LISTER, author of Code Red, Self-Sourcery, and creator of the SHE Sirens oracle deck

“Sarah is the coach for parents craving more space, connection, joy and creativity in their life and family home. I’ve known Sarah for many years and have always admired the way she embodies her ideas and walks her talk. Sarah’s insights on cyclic parenting have had a powerful impact on myself and many of my peers. I love the way she makes menstrual cycle awareness so accessible and fun for folks with young children to implement. Sarah is an excellent teacher, coach and space holder who brings passion, empathy and no-BS authenticity to her work with clients and I am proud to recommend her gentle yet transformative work.” CLAIRE BAKER, author of 50 Things to Know about Your Period and founder of Cycle Coach School

"Before beginning coaching, I was struggling with integrating menstrual cycle awareness into my family life. In theory, it's nice, but in reality, with four kids, it felt like an unattainable dream, something only child-free people could enjoy. Cycle coaching changed my perspective and allowed me to see the things I COULD control and change, even just one small tweak, to improve my experience of my cycle while wrangling kids. You were a gentle, calming presence that brought me back in touch with myself and my own needs, while giving welcomed suggestions. Since coaching, I have noticed a greater sense of kindness towards myself and freedom to be the mom I am that day energetically, and to shift my family time if possible to better align with my cycle and my needs. Now, I am able to notice before I become dysregulated and take a moment to myself, acknowledge I have needs as well, and regulate before engaging with my kids. That's the goal, right!?I am very thankful to have had this experience, and would highly recommend any cycling parents reach out to you!" — ERIN ROHR
